Short description

The committee „Arbeitskulturen“ (Work and Labour Studies) of the German Society of Folklore (dgv) was founded in 1979. The committee is a platform among the discipline of Folkore/European Ethnologoy/Cultural Anthropology/Popular Culture Studies and helps to connect researchers in the field of the study of labour and to make our research more visible across our own, and neighboring disciplines. Therefore, the committee edits the series „Arbeit und Alltag“ (Labour and Everyday life), at Campus Verlag. Interested scholars are invited to participate in the work of the committee, e.g., by contributing to our conferences, publications, or our mailing list.

Mailing list of the committee

The Committee of Work and Labour Studies of the German Society of Folklore (dgv) has decided to establish a mailing list. The topics addressed in the mailings are publications, conferences, references to internet-offers or related topics as well as various contributions to the discussions.
